WREXHAM CLUB SAYS IT WITH FLOWERS AFTER JCB’S £500 DONATION

Wrexham flower club JCB donation News

A community group said it with flowers to thank JCB for a £500 donation.

The Wrexham Flower Club was first established 60 years ago and provides a social lifeline for young and old alike in the Welsh town.

Now the organisation has been given a £500 boost by JCB – and said thanks to the company with a colourful basket of flowers when the cheque was presented on St David’s Day.
The cheque was handed over at the JCB Transmissions factory in Wrexham by General Manager Craig Weeks and Administrator Fionna Hughes.

We are very grateful to JCB for this extremely kind donation. Like many organisations, our club suffered a drop in income during the pandemic and funding like this helps us continue to be a lifeline to people in our town. There are not many places in Wrexham where older people can go for an evening of pure entertainment and good friendly company and that’s why we must do our utmost to keep the club operating.

The JCB donation will be used to help with meeting room rental costs, stage workshops and fund coach trips to flower arranging events.

Administrator Fionna Hughes added: “It was lovely to welcome the ladies from Wrexham Flower Club to JCB Transmissions and we were delighted with our surprise St David’s Day gift of a flower arrangement.”
