A Staffordshire football team is preparing to celebrate its upcoming milestone anniversary in style, thanks to support from digger giant JCB.
Lea Hall Football Club, which is based in Rugeley and marks 25 years of supporting youngsters into football next year, has invested in smart new kit for its Under 11s team thanks to a £1,000 donation from JCB.
The club, which trains at Rugeley Leisure Centre, in Burnthill Lane, helps aspiring football players aged 4 to16 with weekly training sessions as part of the Mid Staffordshire league.
The Under 11s team, which has already had a great start to the season winning its first match 9-1, has now updated its home and away kit.
Anthony Wilby | Vice Chairman and Under 11s manager
“JCB’s generosity means a lot to the players. When they walk on the pitch each weekend in smart kit it helps to build up their confidence and make them proud of their team. It has been a fantastic start to the season and as we prepare to celebrate our club’s 25th anniversary it is great to be stepping out in style.”
Starting in 2000 with just 3 teams Lea Hall Football Club has grown to include 14 different teams which support youngsters of all ages and abilities. Anyone interested in joining or training with the club can find out more by visiting Lea Hall Football Club Facebook page Lea Hall Football Club home or contacting chairman Iain Murray on 07976 219919.
