This event was part of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers' (AEM) "Manufacturers Express" tour, which aims to highlight the significance of the manufacturing sector to the U.S. economy. The tour, which covers 20 states, focuses on showcasing innovative technologies and processes in manufacturing. During the Pooler stop, hundreds of JCB employees participated in AEM's "I Make America" campaign and engaged in an industry-themed online game. U.S. Rep. Buddy Carter noted that JCB's establishment in Pooler was a pivotal moment for local manufacturing growth.
JCB North America President and CEO Richard Fox-Marrs highlighted the strategic location of the headquarters near Interstate 95 and the Port of Savannah, contributing to the company's success. The Pooler facility will celebrate its 25th anniversary next year, and Fox-Marrs credited the achievements in Georgia as a significant factor in JCB's expansion, including plans for a new plant in San Antonio, Texas.
